Been a bit busy lately; just a quick post about April Fools' Day.
I was supposed to help a friend play a trick on Saturday itself, but circumstances messed up and I couldn't do it on the day itself. So we did it on Monday.
The trick : Basically, I call up her house, ask for her maid, and propose to her. Pour out my heart. Confess my limtless love. Yep.
I, by the way, decided to be a construction worker from Yishun. Kumaresan.
So on the day, I called her. Her maid picked up. Suffice it to say it didn't go as expected. I fumbled my intro, and confused her ("Why is a random guy calling me?"). Eventually I expressed my great liking for her. She was surprised at first, and then started threatening to tell her boss. And I was thinking, cut the joke, cut the joke (our arrangement was that my friend follow the convo and cut the joke when she sees fit).
Finally, I hear the phone being pulled away and "April Fool!"
Later, when I was talking to my friend, and she was just scolding me for some random reason (can't remember; nothing to do with the joke), I hear from the background :
"Don't scold my boyfriend, okay?"
The first person I've proposed to. And it's my friend's maid. Congratulations, as my friend would say (did say, and several times, in fact).
One a side note, the comments on my tagboard after half the scandal was released have been very amusing. Very interesting that what started out as a joke on a maid has turned out to be a joke on several tagboard readers.
